In a discussion with Boulder County, Colorado Commissioners regarding their current moratorium on drilling and potential new regulations restricting oil and gas development, Colorado Governor Hickenlooper affirmed his support of COGCC’s position that the State, rather than local governments, has the authority regulate oil and gas operations.  Hickenlooper suggested his preference to resolve the local government disputes without litigation, but refused to take litigation off the table.
