Longmont citizens voted to approve a change to the City Charter banning hydraulic fracturing to extract oil and gas within Longmont city limits.  The ban come after the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission filed suit against Longmont in late July challenging a city ordinance that would affect spacing and location of oil and gas operations within Longmont city limits.
